Network share permission not updating

15-May-2019 06:47

If your device is managed by a system administrator, have them follow the instructions below.sudo chflags -R nouchg ~/Dropbox ~/.dropbox ~/.dropbox-master sudo chown "$USER" "$HOME" sudo chown -R "$USER" ~/Dropbox ~/.dropbox sudo chmod -RN ~/.dropbox ~/Dropbox chmod -R u rw ~/Dropbox ~/.dropbox If you see a "Permission denied" or "Rejected by server" message, first try signing out of your Dropbox account in the Dropbox desktop app, then signing in again. It runs during installation of the Dropbox app, and once every hour afterwards. If the process finds a new version, it will auto-update.

Permissions determine who (or which apps) can access files on your hard drive.Just enabling the network discovery and file sharing doesn’t mean the computers on your network will have access to all your files automatically.
